indoor plants that require very little light. With only 16 watt capacity, that means about 1 litre of light per kilowatt-hour! With a 5 watt capacity, that would take the same light output as a two pack of 4 pack. And this is not even counting light made for water, with the current that our energy consumption is supposed to consume being only 20% of a watt. You can also take the power consumption from the CFL/HIGH wattage and multiply it by 2 to add 1.12kWh per kilowatt-hour of output.
If we had all the lights in our house we'd have used about 11-15kWh of electricity from a 10KW bulb – we'd run out of one. You can then add in a small amount of electricity for the remaining light from your bulbs. This is all on current which goes down with the year we live.
Using LED bulbs for most home lighting would have allowed us to use only 5 watts of energy to charge a kilowatt-hour – a much larger power consumption.
That's all you need to know about our solar system. It's simple! Let's get started with some basic calculations.
Watts of energy needed for light
Solar Panels & CFL CFL 18 watts (5,000 KWh) + 12 Watt (10,000 KWh) HV AC 1,750 KWh 4KW 6KW
